Here's how to find the auditorium and the music hall in the main building
of the University of Cologne

Music Hall (Musiksaal)
The music room is located on the third floor of the university’s main building. After entering the foyer, take the staircase on the right and go up to the third floor. At the top of the stairs, the door to the music room is on the right.
Accessibility
Accessing the hall with accessibility features is a bit more complicated, but it is possible. It’s best to contact the university’s custodial team in advance by phone at (0221) 470 22 00. You can reach the music hall via an elevator “from the back,” but the custodial team will need to open an alarm-secured door for you there.

The auditorium is located in the center of the main building; entrances can be found in the two main hallways to the left and right of the foyer.
Accessibility
For accessible entry, you will need a Eurokey or can contact the University of Cologne’s custodial team at (0221) 470 22 00.
There are two short flights of stairs to navigate; both have an elevator that requires a Eurokey to operate. In the foyer, please use the staircase on the right to access the auditorium. Both elevators are located on this side. There are several wheelchair-accessible seats in the front row; in the large auditorium, they are also available on the middle level, accessible via an elevator in the upper gallery area on the right that does not require a Eurokey. Please note: Most of our concerts take place in the small auditorium (Auditorium 2). Concerts in the large auditorium (Auditoriums 1 and 2) are primarily those featuring our own large ensembles, such as the symphony orchestra, the choir, the jazz choir, or the big band.
Getting There by Public Transportation
Take Line 9 to the “Universität” stop. From there, it’s about a 5-minute walk along Universitätsstraße toward Aachener Straße to the university’s main building on Albertus-Magnus-Platz.
